Webinar #3: Staff Recruitment, Training and Retention

This three-part series focused on the supporting skills and staff development necessary to meeting Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) objectives. Three vital areas for creating a virtual learning environment built to succeed were discussed — positive youth development; building a community virtually; and staff recruitment, retention and training. After this webinar, you should be able to: identify core competencies that staff need to succeed in the virtual environment; design staff contact that encourages connection and program commitment without excessive time commitment; and create a professional environment that centers on staff needs with the goal of staff retention. This was the third in a series of three webinars.
