Pull It Together

Remember: Project-based learning is a different type of teaching and learning.

Most of the activity is learner-directed, and the learning is experiential: learning by doing and producing. Staff need to be trained in its unique skills and approaches to lead project-based learning well. They need techniques for

  • Developing projects with youth
  • Facilitating learning
  • Supporting children and young people as independent learners

Staff training, ongoing coaching and supervision are key to successful project-based learning.
