Consider How to Select Partners

SP_Chpt 2p7  Now that you have identified some organizations and businesses that might support your program, prepare to decide if each would be a good match. Ask yourself these questions:
  • Does the organization provide high-quality services in the community, and does it understand the issues families face?
  • Do my program’s goals match the organization’s mission? Do we have a shared vision?
  • Will the organization's staff expertise support student needs in a way that my staff or other partners cannot?
  • If the organization partners with my program, will my program need to provide support and resources?
  • If the organization’s staff will be working with our students, what training and background clearances will they need to work with youth?
