Motivation — A Key to Promoting Positive Reading Behaviors

Lastly, it can be helpful to ask the student some general questions about how they see themselves as readers. Understanding how students feel about themselves as readers can offer insight into components such as motivation, engagement and reading stamina that aren’t direct reading skills, but can have a significant impact on a student’s reading ability.
