4-H National Youth Summit Series: Geospatial Technologies
We at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center are excited to announce the first National Youth Summit event on Geospatial Technologies!
Have you ever wondered about the skill and time it takes to plan your neighborhood park or to determine the positioning of buildings and lots in your community? We’re calling all high school students, grades 9th-12th, to get first-hand experience on how it’s done. Put your interest in Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing (RS) to work with hands-on activities, tours of geospatial-related business and government agencies in Washington, DC, and a chance to plan their own geospatial community project in their own hometown.
The Geospatial Technologies event is from September 25-29, 2013, and you can register now by visiting http://www.nationalyouthsummit.org.
