Can anyone share examples of effective Driving Questions and successful projects that they have done or seen in programs?
The most successful driving questions that I have seen includes including the youth in the process. For example, in our Recycling project, we kept the question simple: How can we (the students) turn trash into treasure? The students collected used clothes, jewelry, and other materials at the program and sold the clothes and jewelry and made other materials into various art pieces. The project got support from the caregivers of the youth and instead of keeping the money for a pizza party, the youth decided to donate the money to a charitable organization.
